How do I call for service?

Members call our emergency number which is available within the members area of our website, contained in the membership welcome letter and printed on the membership card

How many times can I call for emergency assistance?

Members can call the emergency assistance a total of three times in any one membership year

Once I have become a member when can I use the service?

You can access our members area of our web site, benefit from our significant partner promotions immediately.
The provision of non emergency assistance services commences from the date of membership registration acceptance.  Emergency services commences 14 days from registration acceptance.

Where can I find full details of the cover?

Our plain language assistance policy contains a full policy wording providing complete details of the policy and can be downloaded from our web site

An emergency is defined in the policy Terms & Conditions as a sudden and unforeseen damage which immediately:

Could put your health at risk; or
creates possible damage or loss to your home; or
makes the property uninhabitable

What is the length of my membership?

Your membership policy runs on a monthly basis with a minimum contract for a 12 month period. Please note that there is a 14 day period before you can use the emergency service, depending on the type of membership you have purchased. Please refer to policy Terms & Conditions for specific details relating to your cover

What is the difference between home emergency cover and home insurance?

Home emergency cover is strongly recommended if you're a homeowner. Your home is generally your biggest investment, and can be costly expense when sudden repairs are needed. If you are left without heat, light or water during the night or on a weekend or bank holiday, it can often be difficult to find an affordable and reliable tradesman to resolve your stressful situation as soon as possible.. Membership of European Property Club is designed to take care of the situation at no extra cost within appropriate cover limits.

In the case of most home insurance policies their standard cover does not include a service for home emergencies. You may be able to make a claim caused by the damage but generally does not give you home assistance when you really need it. It is advisable that you check with your current home insurance provider to make sure you're not taking unnecessary cover

How long am I excluded from using the emergency service?

This is the first 14 days from joining the club.

How many times can I use the emergency service?

You may use the emergency service up to three times in any twelve months of your membership. All other services can be used as often as you like.

What is a commercial property?

A property that is used to generate profit.  This includes holiday homes that are used as holiday lets.

Who arranges and underwrites the GUARANTEE?

European Property Club have arranged the guarantee on behalf of its members, via Acumus Insurance Solutions Ltd.

The guarantee is provided by UK Underwriting Limited who are both authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Is there an administration fee?

Yes, there is a one off administration fee charged in your first month.  This is either £30 or €35 regardless of level of membership and number of properties covered (excluding Green Membership).
